Our Distributed Servo Electric Universal Testing Machine (UTM)

Based on expertise and experience in control and testing, LABSEN collaborates with the manufacturer UnitedTest for distributing high quality testing machines to our customers. Our products are made for Australian conditions, meet the local regulations, perform safely, provide accurate test data and will last for long life.

To make sure the products satisfy the stringent requirement, LABSEN works with its collaborative manufacturer in

• specifying technical specifications,
• strictly selecting key components,
• on-site check or remotely check any upgrading function.

All key components (servo drivers, servo motors, load cells, displacement sensors, etc. ) of the servo testing machines are selected from well-known manufacturers (in Europe, USA and Japan) whereas other mechanical parts are manufactured in the factories of our collaborative partners.

Furthermore, LABSEN contributes in improving the testing equipment (hardware and control software) and upgrading functions of material testing machines. This unique enhancement is available for our customers to run tests with complex measurement on our supplied testing machines in combining with other existing testing equipment (if available and possible), without ordering entire new testing systems. Listing Available Models

WDW Single Column Tabletop UTM (100N – 5000N) with a variety of available load cells to provide accurate measurements for applications ranging from micron-size fibers to those utilizing the full capacity of the load frame. A full range of grips, fixtures, and strain measurement devices are available. Standards: ASTM D638, ASTM D695, ASTM D790, ASTM D412, 624, ASTM D882, ISO 527, ISO 37, ISO 604, ISO 178 and other equivalent BS, ASTM, JIS standard.

WDW Dual Column Floor Type UTM (10kN – 300kN) are universal, static testing systems for tensile, compression, shear, flexure, peel, tear, cyclic, and bend tests.  This series are engineered for precision, built for durability, and offer the flexibility for multi purpose requirements. Dual column systems are multi-purpose test frame. Standards: ASTM E4, EN10002-2, BS 1610, DIN 51221, ISO 7500-1.

WDT Series Benchtop UTM (10kN – 600kN) for performing tension, compression, flexure/bending, shearing, peeling etc., test for metal and nonmetal specimens. This bench top structure systems provide simplicity, performance, and affordability. Test Standards: ASTM E4, EN10002-2, BS 1610, DIN 51221, ISO 7500-1.

WDT Series 400/500/600/1000kN UTMs are robust, heavy-duty frames commonly used for testing high-strength metals and alloys, advanced composites, aerospace and automotive structures, bolts, fasteners, and plate steels. Several variations are available to accommodate requirements for both extended travel and extra wide test space. Test Standards: ASTM E4, EN10002-2, BS 1610, DIN 51221, ISO 7500-1.

Common Features

Load frame and driven type

• Frame are proof loaded to 200% of capacity, with concentric arrangement of the drive lead screw and crosshead guide which assure high accuracy and strong reliability.
• Adopt Japan Panasonic/FUJI AC servo motor and driving system, ensure transmission and moment of force stable.

• Adopt Circular Arc Profile Synchronous Belt Transmission, eliminate dual direction clearance, prolongs the life of synchronous belt;
• Multiple load cell in one machine available.

Grip and test fixture

• Manual, hydraulic, pneumatic tensile test fixture available.
• Removable grip-jaws can be changed rapidly to meet variable wider applications in tension test.
• Versatile test fixture like peeling, shear, bending, flexure, tear, burst, puncture, compression test for kinds of material.

Control system and control software

• High quality computer-based control card with standard options of four channels of 24 digit A/D conversion;
• Optional with additional A/D inputs and D/A outputs for enhancing function of the machines and interacting with external measuring equipment;
• Real time monitoring load, deformation, crosshead displacement, running four options of close loop control;
• High resolution of load measurement with resolution up to 1/500000 of full range without step;
• Level authorization management function: to improve software and data security, can set different password to realize several class authorization management. Different user with different right to operate the machine, avoiding unexpected mistake because of possible human errors.
• Professional test software with essential functions for testing such as Load vs Time, Load vs displacement, Displacement vs time graphs, smoothly switch, display test data, save, analysis and print.
